AutobiographyHi, my name is Jeffrey Bennett, and I'm a professional photographer living in the beautiful, mile-high city of Denver, Colorado. Combined with a true passion for photography, the strength, means, and determination to find the locations with the most awe-inspiring landscapes, and the equipment to make my artistic visions come alive, you'll find that my photography is second-to-none. My specialty is in nighttime and cityscape photography, and even though Denver is a very photogenic place, I'm fortunate enough to be able to capture breathtaking scenery from all over the world. From the first time I pressed a camera's shutter button more than eight years ago, photography has been a truly fulfilling experience for me and I continue to find new ways to express my creativity. Being entirely self-taught, I strive to capture gorgeous images and breathtaking scenery every chance I get. Every photograph I take has special meaning to me and I always put my whole heart into it. For me, part of the thrill of getting a great photo is occasionally putting myself [or my equipment] into dangerous positions (never too dangerous, though). It's very exciting to find that perfect shot stored on my camera's memory card when I get back to safety. Photography started out as a hobby with the Nikon Coolpix 2000 2-Megapixel digital camera. I quickly learned what made a good photo, and what didn't. I would experiment with different composition, lighting, and techniques - my camera went just about everywhere I went. About a year later, as a high school graduation present to myself, I purchased a Canon PowerShot G3 4-Megapixel digital camera. After four years and more than sixty-thousand photos later, I decided it was time for another upgrade - this time, to a professional-quality camera. With the Canon Rebel XTi 10-Megapixel DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex), I had an entirely new set of features to learn and the ability to capture even better photos. Two and a half years later and more than thirty-thousand photos, I made another upgrade to my current camera - the amazingly versatile and sophisticated Canon Rebel T1i 15-Megapixel DSLR. Along with upgrading my camera body, I bought a wide-angle lens before I went to China in December 2009 and Mexico in January 2010. Doing this allowed me to capture some truly magnificent photos abroad. Today, I'm more passionate about photography than ever and I continue to capture beautiful and unique works of art that you're sure to enjoy. Whenever I go out to shoot, I carry around five lenses, four filters, an external flash, and a number of other accessories that allow me to get the perfect shot whenever and wherever I may happen to see it. Making the world more beautiful, one photo at a time... ![]() | Jeffrey Bennett![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
